Texas Virtual Academy at Hallsville (TVAH), a tuition-free online program of Hallsville Independent School District, is a full-time online public school for students in grades 3–12. We’re dedicated to inspiring and empowering students through an education experience tailored to each child’s needs.

Our Story

At Texas Virtual Academy at Hallsville (TVAH), your child can learn in the ways that are right for them— at home, on the road, or wherever there’s an internet connection. TVAH is open to Texas residents in grades 3–12. We offer a personalized approach to education, dual enrollment with the University of Texas – Permian Basin, career and college prep for grades 7–12, and Honors and AP® courses.

The Support You and Your Student Need

Our teachers are committed to helping your family succeed with online learning. They provide instruction and support as your child works through the curriculum. And they keep the lines of communication open through email, phone, online “Class Connect” sessions, and online and in-person activities. You’ll also receive textbooks and other hands-on materials delivered right to your door! These offline materials complement the interactive online elements of the lessons and vary by grade and course.

Career and College Prep

You can use your high school years to figure out where you want to go and how to get there. In addition to core courses, you’ll take career-focused electives to explore your options and find your passion—all while earning your high school diploma. Discovering what you want to do now can prepare you to dive into a career right out of high school or help you make the right decision about your college major. Career fields include Arts, AV & Technology; Business, Marketing & Finance; Education; Health Science; Human Services; Information Technology; and Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security.

School Opening and Location

MU Prep held its inaugural first day of school on August 3, 2022, for Indiana residents only.
