Is your student bursting with ideas to make learning more engaging, creative, or future-ready? The 2026 K12 Innovation Challenge is now open for registration! This nationwide competition gives middle and high school students the chance to showcase their creativity, problem-solving skills, and passion for education.
Through this student innovation competition, participants can share their ideas, earn national recognition, and compete for exciting prizes. Finalists will present their education solutions live in June 2026, gaining invaluable experience in front of judges and a live audience.
How to Participate
- Showcase Creativity: Students submit a short 30-second to 2-minute video pitch in one of three categories:
- Tomorrow’s Classroom – Reimagine how we learn
- Student Life Hacks – Smart solutions for everyday school challenges
- Gamify It! – Turn learning into a game
- Team or Solo: Students can enter alone or in teams of up to three.
- National Recognition: The 12 finalist teams will be invited to present their ideas at the live final event in Reston, Virginia, in June 2026.
What Your Student Could Win
- National Winners: Each member of the winning team in both grade bands (6–8 and 9–12) will receive $500.
- Fan Favorite: The team with the most public votes will earn $150 per team member.
- Internship Opportunities: All members of the 12 finalist teams will also have the chance to interview for a paid summer internship in 2026, supported by Tallo. This opportunity is intended to help students further develop their skills and explore potential career pathways.1
