What is Destinations?
What is Destinations?
Destinations Career Academies combine traditional high school academics with career readiness education. These industry-relevant, career-focused electives* give students an education that prepares them to be college- and workforce-ready. Students can study subjects in career fields that interest them such as business, health science, manufacturing, information technology, and more.*
K12-powered Destinations academies are tuition-free** and are offered online. Students attend online academic classes and can take part in extracurricular activities, such as hands-on projects and competitions, for practical training.

How does Destinations provide career education?
Destinations Career Academies provide students with a personalized education that prepares them for success in today's high-skilled careers. Students attend core high school academic courses as well as a range of career-focused electives.* This personalized approach to learning gives students the opportunity to explore career areas of interest and to prepare for their next step in life—whether that's college, a career, or both.
Students enrolled in a Destinations Career Academy can prepare for certification exams and the test for the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate. Participating Destinations academies also offer students the opportunity to earn college credits while in high school.*
