Stride Career Prep, project-based learning for lifelong relevance

What is Project Based Learning?

Project-based learning (PBL) goes beyond traditional methods of memorization and test-taking to expose students to collaborating with others and developing skills they’ll use in the real world.

Stride Career Prep has implemented project-based learning for many courses. With PBL, students solve realistic problems similar to those they’re likely to face after graduation. Teachers aren’t merely lecturers, but coaches and facilitators of students who control their own learning experience. The traditional competition-based framework of grading curves and high-stakes tests is replaced with collaboration—mirroring the teamwork required to succeed in the modern workplace.

PBL’s Focus

PBL’s focus on rigor and realistic projects—often provided by industry collaborators—helps students in these settings learn as much, if not more, than they would in a traditional classroom environment.
