Young Minds and Big Ideas Can Save the Planet
The K12 Innovation Challenge is now closed. Students in grades 9–12 were encouraged to help address some of our planet’s most pressing environmental issues related to themes like carbon emissions, our ocean, healthy lands, and more. Students in this year’s Innovation Challenge could sign up individually or as a team of up to three and submit a proposal for their proposed solutions for one of six environmental themes.
The teams with the top two proposals for each theme will present their ideas in the Washington, D.C. area, for a chance to win a $5,000 scholarship! Plus, we’re adding a new People’s Choice award this year where the top team based on public voting will win Microsoft Surface tablets.
The Innovation Challenge semi-finalists will be announced in mid-May, so stay tuned to find out who are winners are this year.
