A Flexible Program Offering 3–12 Students Face-to-Face Instruction in Math and Language Arts

For Agora students who can benefit from additional support in math and/or language arts, the Agora Learning Center (available to Agora Cyber Charter School students) offers a convenient classroom-based solution, giving students a highly individualized learning experience.

What are some benefits and features of attending the Agora Learning Center?

• Small class sizes and face-to-face instruction: the student-to-teacher class ratio is no greater than 15 to 1
• Learning labs featuring interactive whiteboards, state-of-the-art technology, and online lessons from the K¹² curriculum
• Targeted remediation and assistance for struggling students
• Leadership and social development activities held once a week (typically Fridays)
• Additional academic programs and workshops available to parents throughout the year; the Center also hosts Agora school events and extra-curricular activities

How does it work?

• Students attend classes at the Center—which is open five days a week—four times a week for three hours. Class time is dedicated to helping students master lessons they're struggling in.
• Dedicated Agora teachers and staff oversee all aspects of the student learning experience, through a combination of direct instruction and online lessons from the K¹² curriculum.

A summer program will soon be offered for students seeking credit recovery courses, additional remediation, and/or enrichment activities.

Who is this intended for?

• Agora Cyber Charter School students in grades 3–12
• Families in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas (there are no geographical restrictions on who can attend; however, we encourage only those students within close proximity to attend the site)
• Students in grades K–2, with special programs and individual events geared toward them and held throughout the school year

Where is the Center located?

The Agora Learning Center is centrally located in a convenient location in downtown Philadelphia. Public transportation is nearby via the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), and there's plenty of free off-street parking.
