Meet our High School Staff
High School Senior Regional Program Coordinator
Mina Arnold received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from University of California, San Diego. She then decided to pursue a career in education and earned her Credential and master’s degree from National University, as well as her Administrative Credential. She taught science for 11 years in a brick-and-mortar before deciding to pursue a career in online education. She has served as both a teacher and administrator with CAVA since 2007.
High School Regional Program Coordinator
Stacie Bailey received her Bachelor's of Science in biology from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA, and a master's degree in secondary science education from California State University, Northridge. Prior to joining CAVA in 2008, she taught high school biology, AP biology and AVID for seven years in a brick-and-mortar school. At CAVA, she has taught biology and earth science and served as the science content lead teacher before becoming a high school regional program coordinator. She strongly believes in the quality of education offered at CAVA; in fact, her son is now in his third year in the K8 Community Day program and her youngest daughter will soon start kindergarten at CAVA.
High School Regional Program Coordinator
Jessica Lingenfelter has worked with CAVA since 2008. She has taught English, and served as a lead teacher before moving into the high school regional program coordinator position. Before joining CAVA, she taught English, reading intervention, ELD, and independent study for eleven years in a brick-and-mortar setting. She is passionate about improving literacy. She earned a master's degree in adolescent reading and continues her education, working to earn a PhD with a focus on how technology use in the classroom boosts and engages literacy.
High School Lead Guidance Counselor
Anne Kahn received her bachelor's degree in Spanish from California State University, Fresno. She then decided to pursue a career in education and earned a master's degree in education as well as her Pupil Personnel Service Credential from California State University, Fresno. She spent six years at a brick-and-mortar school, then transitioned to teaching at a community college. Anne began working as a school counselor in 1995 and joined the CAVA staff in that capacity in 2007, becoming CAVA's lead guidance counselor in 2008.
High School Coordinator of Learning Evaluation and Student Achievement
Cathy Andrew received her bachelor's degree from the College of Charleston in South Carolina and her master's degree in global studies and education policy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to coming to CAVA, she taught history in brick-and-mortar schools. Cathy has served as a CAVA teacher, lead teacher of training, and department coordinator prior to her current role as high school coordinator of learning evaluation and student achievement.
