Events Calendar: All Event Types

We regularly provide opportunities for you to learn more about Kansas Virtual Academy, our community, and the K¹² curriculum we'll use. Here we provide a listing of all of the event types currently available from KSVA.

  • BACK TO SCHOOL: Bring-A-Friend Events

    Whether you’re still considering our online school or already enrolled for the fall, please join us at of the many locations around the state for a fun and informative bring-a-friend event. Meet our teachers and staff, connect with other online school families, get helpful advice for starting off the new school year, discover all of the social experiences available through our schools, see what’s new for 2014–2015, and much more. You're encouraged to bring friends and other family members—all are welcome!

    FOR FAMILIES WHO ARE CONSIDERING ONLINE SCHOOL, this is a great way to see if tuition-free, online public schooling is the right choice for your child. Staff will be on hand to help answer any questions and get the enrollment process started.

    FOR FAMILIES WHO HAVE ALREADY ENROLLED, this is a great way to make important, face-to-face connections with our team prior to school starting. You can also meet or reconnect with other families in your area.

  • Online Information Sessions

    We use Blackboard Collaborate, a web-based meeting tool, for our Online Information Sessions. You only need to register online once, and then you will have access to all of our future online sessions. Once you have successfully registered, you will receive login and access information via e-mail telling you how to join the session of your choice.  During these online sessions, we'll review the K¹² curriculum, show sample lessons, and answer any questions you may have.

  • In-Person Events

    At these events you'll have the opportunity to visit with school staff and representatives in a face-to-face setting. Hosted throughout the state and available to interested and newly enrolled families, these activities offer an opportunity to learn more about virtual public school options!
