How it Works (K-6)

The Wyoming Virtual School is a tuition-free public school that uses the K¹² curriculum, which is accessed via an online school as well as through more traditional methods. Materials are delivered right to the family's doorstep—including books, CDs, and even bags of rocks and dirt.

We also partner parents and students with a Wyoming-certified teacher to guide and track their progress through the curriculum. There may be face-to-face meetings as well.

Student-to-student interaction is emphasized too, so WYVS students are always well educated and well socialized.

Who is this intended for?

The Wyoming Virtual School serves students in grades K-6 who are residents of Campbell County and the contiguous counties (Crook, Weston, Converse, Johnson, and Sheridan).

Families interested in enrolling their students in grades 7-12, or who are residents of other Wyoming counties, should visit the Wyoming Virtual Academy for information about this public school program.

What are the costs?

Because we are part of the public school system, the Wyoming Virtual School is tuition-free. The entire K12 curriculum is provided free of charge, and in most cases, a loaner computer, printer, and Internet access are also provided.
