Kathy Schefft, Manager of Operations

Kathy Schefft has been with K12 for six years. She has the distinction of being the first K12 employee hired for the Wisconsin Virtual Academy, and has served as both office manager and open enrollment specialist during her career here. Kathy brings more than 18 years of office experience to WIVA. Previously she worked at KMC Stampings, where she provided administrative support to various key departments. She has also worked in accounting, data/order entry, customer service, engineering, human resources, purchasing, manufacturing, sales, and shipping and receiving.

Tina Busch, Technology Consultant

Tina Busch has been employed by K12 for six years. She brings 25 years of experience in information technology and corporate business to WIVA. Tina has extensive knowledge and experience in project management, including: the design, coordination, and implementation of computer networks (LANs); infrastructure; VOIP; wireless networking; mobile/remote office; technical support; system security; disaster recovery (including Hurricanes Andrew & Hugo); web page design; and training and education. Prior to joining the WIVA team, Tina served as the Wisconsin Public School District network/systems administrator. She was CIO/director of IT for a $4 billion government sponsored entity, human resource manager and business administrator for a large assisted living facility, and owner/operator of a computer consulting firm. Tina graduated magna cum laude from Barry University in Miami with a BS in computer information systems and business administration. Additionally, Tina is a Novell certified engineer and an IBM certified LAN server administrator. She has conducted numerous computer-training classes and workshops.

Justine Johnson, Administrative Assistant and School Community Development Manager

Justine Johnson joined K12, serving Honors High Online of Wisconsin, in September of 2007. She has over 25 years of experience in sales, customer service, process documentation/technical writing, and administrative support. Justine enjoys the energy of young learners and is enthusiastic about helping to create an efficient and enjoyable school experience for our students. Her passion is creating and supporting events and tools that enhance both the learning experience and the community connection within WIVA.
