How to Enroll
Open Enrollment Update
The Open Enrollment window for the 2012–2013 school year is now open through 4:00 PM on Monday, April 30, 2012. If you're considering Wisconsin Virtual Academy for the 2012–2013 school year, please submit an Open Enrollment application before the deadline to ensure your student(s) is eligible to enroll.
There are two ways to submit an Open Enrollment application:
- Online via the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's website (Preferred)
-
Via the downloadable paper application, which can be printed, completed, and delivered to the nonresident school district during the application period. (Hand-delivery is recommended. If you are unable to submit an Open Enrollment application online or in person, you may fax it to 608.838.9483.)
View our Completing an Open Enrollment Application reference sheet for a step-by-step overview on successfully completing a paper application.
Important Information
- Applying online will ensure your application is correctly processed and minimizes the risk of submitting an invalid Open Enrollment application.
- When prompted to indicate the NON-RESIDENT school district and/or school for which you are applying to during the Open Enrollment application process, please be sure to indicate Wisconsin Virtual Academy and McFarland School District in the appropriate fields.
- Please note that all applications must be received no later than 4:00 PM on Monday, April 30, 2012 to be eligible for the 2012–2013 school year.
