Dear Parent,
Welcome to the Washington Virtual Academies (WAVA). WAVA offers you the opportunity to provide your children a rich and comprehensive education in an innovative new public school. Combining a challenging academic curriculum, dedicated teachers, parent involvement, and innovative technologies, WAVA delivers an engaging education to students in grades K-12. Our teachers work in partnership with you to design and implement an individual learning plan for your child. Our administrative staff is committed to the success of every child in the program.
I applaud your commitment to the education of your children, and I know that the Washington Virtual Academies can assist you in helping them reach their full potential. WAVA offers a rigorous and challenging curriculum, as well as individualized instruction designed to allow your child to master each lesson. The program provides accountability through state regulations and school policies; feedback on student achievement through progress reports, conferencing, and standardized assessments; and flexibility in instructional strategies and scheduling.
