Join WAVA students in a book exchange!

It’s easy! It’s fun! Clean out your students’ bookshelves and closets of used paperbacks, comic books, picture books, hard covers, and any book in good condition.

What is the purpose of the book exchange?

-To get books into the hands of our students (K-12).

-To gain an appreciation for reading different books.

-To have an opportunity to exchange books at no cost.

-To spend time with friends and meet some new ones.

How do students participate?

On Book Exchange Day, your student may choose from many books. They earn one Book Buck ticket for each book brought in. Limit of five (5) tickets per student.

Are all books accepted?

Please bring “gently read” books in good or excellent condition with covers on and no rips, tears, stains, or bent edges. We cannot accept books that are too juvenile such as board books, books from fast food outlets, or Little Golden Books. Likewise, please do not bring books that are too mature in theme. Hardcover books will be accepted, but this will not guarantee that they will receive a hardcover book in return.

May students bring more than 5 books?

If you already are enrolled in WAVA, feel free to bring guests who might be interested in learning more about the school.  Staff will be available to answer your questions about the school!
