Testing and Assessment FAQs

What tests are required as part of the program?

Students who are enrolled in the Utah Virtual Academy are required to take the following tests:

• K¹² lesson assessments
• K¹² unit assessments
• State Criterion reference test in Reading, Math, and Science in grades 1-11
• Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) in grades 3, 5, and 8

Do I have to participate in state testing?
Families enrolling at UTVA must be willing to participate in all required areas of the program.
