In-Person Events

At these events you'll have the opportunity to visit with school staff and representatives in a face-to-face setting. Hosted throughout the state and available to interested and newly enrolled families, these activities offer an opportunity to learn more about virtual public school options!

    Plano Area Meet 'n Greet - Chick-fil-A

    Bring the family out to a TXVA Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A in Plano! Meet some TXVA families and staff, get some questions answered, and take home materials about our program and virtual learning.

    In addition, Chick-fil-A will collect the receipts of all who want to participate with a portion of the cost of meals purchased going back to the school! So come join the fun, the great food, support the school! If you cannot join the event during the deisgnated hours, you can still support the school by telling the cashier that you are with TXVA. Receipt collection at this location will be from 12n-8pm on the day of the event.

    Please join us in Hawley for a time of great learning, fun, and fellowship!

    COST: $2 per person, ages 4 and up (please bring exact CASH). All ages welcome (from babies to grandparents) -- all will enjoy this field trip.

    DRESS: Appropriate for the day's weather forecast; this will be an outdoor adventure. (There is an public, outdoor restroom and sink available if needed.)

    LUNCH: There are picnic tables available, so please bring a sack lunch, including own drinks (and extra water needed for the adventure). We will begin our activities at 11:00 then break for lunch at 12:00.

    If you are looking for information about our program, TXVA staff and families will be available to answer your questions while we picnic together.
