Tennessee Virtual Academy (TNVA) will be making a Special Appearance at the FIRST Robotics Smoky Mountain Regional. If you plan on attending the competition, be sure to stop by our K12 table and say hi! We will have a table setup in the middle of Jr FLL (FIRST LEGO League) and FLL teams for kids to play a computer animated math game.

FIRST Robotics is a global technology and engineering competition for high school students. A regional competition is returning to Knoxville for a third straight year March 28-30, 2013, taking place at the Knoxville Convention Center.
The Chamber has played a key role in bringing a regional competition to Knoxville. The competition emphasizes science, innovation, and design, and inspires students to think about science and technology.
Dozens of teams with hundreds of technology-minded students will pour into East Tennessee for the competition. In 2012, Gibbs, Oak Ridge, Webb School, L&N Stem Academy, Bearden, and Farragut were among the East Tennessee high school teams that competed.
Jr FLL Showcase Times: Friday, March 29th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Saturday, March 30th from 1 p.m. till 5 p.m.
The very best educational games are fun. They motivate students to succeed. These games entertain, and-most importantly-they effectively help players learn important skills and gain critical knowledge. The games produced by K12 are designed to combine all these elements for an engaging learning experience.
