thebigthinK¹²

With the launch of thebigthinK¹², K¹² is creating new connections in a big way.

We're providing a safe haven online where students, parents, and teachers can gather to share information, exchange ideas, and find out what’s new in their communities.

This new social networking tool provides, among other things, resources for parents, as well as message boards, news feeds, blogs, and polls for students, all in a closed environment where only K¹² users can access them. Only K12 students, teachers, administrators, and parents with a valid school ID can gain access to thebigthinK12.

Why Did We Build It?

  • To give parents the opportunity to connect with teachers and other parents to ask questions and share information, ideas and insights. thebigthinK12 creates the kind of parent community found in the best schools.
  • To give schools access to a state-of-the-art platform to provide information, resources and communication tools to their staff, students and families.

Your K12, Your Community

thebigthinK12 is a community where students can feel free to contribute their opinions, ideas, and experiences. It's a place where they can get involved in student government or the school newspaper, talk about national affairs or favorite new bands, get into political action or service leadership—almost anything students can think of. thebigthinK12 was created as a place for students and parents to connect, hang out, and be yourselves!
