Behind the Scenes: The Remedial Reading Team

The K¹² Remedial Reading team started out with the notion that while we are judged on our ability to read, that ability does not come easily. The new MARK¹² product was developed to be adaptive, which means it tracks student progress to help them move forward. Reading specialists worked with designers and system experts to create a reading program that lets kids hear the story first, then practice reading on screen and out loud to work on fluency and understanding. These are people who are passionate about their subject, and it shows.
