Administrators
Rick Mansheim is head of school. Originally from Colorado, Rick holds an undergraduate degree in social science from the University of Wyoming. He earned a master's degree in educational administration from Capella University in 2003. Rick began his career in education as the project assistant to the vice president of instruction for Northern Wyoming Community College in Gillette, Wyoming in 1998. In a ten-year career at NWCC, Rick held several positions including director of distance learning and admissions, assistant campus director, and assistant dean of operations. He also worked at the college as an adjunct professor teaching video editing, Flash animation, digital photography, and Introduction Film Studies. Rick joined K¹² in 2009 as the operations manager for Wyoming Virtual Academy and became Oklahoma head of school in 2010. He feels fortunate to work with the families, students, and staff and is excited to help expand and improve virtual education for students in Oklahoma.
Sheryl Tatum has 12 years of experience in education. She has had the opportunity to serve Oklahoma students as an elementary teacher, Gifted and Talented coordinator, and academic director. She earned her BS in elementary education from Eastern New Mexico University in 1996, and her master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Phoenix in 2000. In 2003, Sheryl obtained National Board Certification.
Michelle Johnston received her bachelor's degree in secondary math education at Northeastern State University. She taught math and special education for five years in brick-and-mortar schools and recently took the position of Special Education director at OVCA.
Angie Fousthas over 14 years of experience in education and holds a master's degree in instructional design and technology. She recently took the position of high school director.
Alissa Olden earned her bachelor's degree in English education from Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow and has five years of teaching experience in middle and high school English. Previously a sixth- through eighth-grade teacher, Mrs. Olden is now the Local Development manager and also serves as the Booster Club and Family/Community Support coordinator.
