How It Works (1-8)
The OKVA 1-8 Program
The Oklahoma Virtual Academy is a tuition-free public school that uses the K¹² curriculum, which is accessed via an online school as well as through more traditional methods. Materials are delivered right to the family's doorstep—including books, CDs, and even microscopes and cell samples.
We also partner parents and students with a certified teacher to help guide and track their progress through the curriculum. There are regular face-to-face meetings as well.
Student-to-student interaction is emphasized, too, so OKVA students are always well educated and well socialized.

Who is this intended for?
The Oklahoma Virtual Academy 1-8 program serves students in grades 1-8 who reside within the state of Oklahoma and comply with all Open Transfer requirements during the designated window.
What are the costs?
Because OKVA is part of the public school system, the Oklahoma Virtual Academy is tuition-free. Enrolled families receive the K¹² curriculum, as well as full access to the planning and progress tools available via the OLS (online school).
