Join us at a Learning/Science Fair

Every year, the Ohio Virtual Academy hosts a series of Learning/Science Fairs across the state to celebrate learning by exhibiting student projects, bringing together our families and staff, and recognizing student accomplishments. These events offer our students an opportunity to showcase their work in art, history, writing, science, and technology.

If you're thinking about enrolling in the Ohio Virtual Academy or would just like to learn more, we'd like you to join in on the fun!

While you won't be able to formally participate in the work display/science fair portion of the event if you're not currently enrolled in OHVA, attending one of our Learning/Science Fairs is a great way meet enrolled families, mingle with school staff, and generally get a sense for what it means to be enrolled in the Ohio Virtual Academy.

Staff will be on hand to address any questions you may have about the program.

With enrollment for the 2009-2010 school year opening in March, this is the perfect opportunity to see if the Ohio Virtual Academy is right for your family.

Due to damage caused by a fire at the Lorain Community College late last week, the Elyria Learning/Science Fair has been rescheduled for March 9.

Quick Facts

Who are these events for?
While these events are for currently enrolled students to showcase their creative and scientific talents, we're inviting all families thinking about enrolling their children in the Ohio Virtual Academy to join in the fun. Kids are, of course, welcome.

How many people may I bring with me?
There's no limit to how many people you may bring. We'd love to have the whole family along, and any friends that might be interested in enrolling in the Ohio Virtual Academy. Please register online, as space for each session is limited.

What else do I need to know?
Attending our Learning/Science Fairs is free, but make sure you and the kids have something to eat before you come, as we won't be offering anything in the way of food or refreshments.
