Letter from Our Head of School

Welcome to Nevada Virtual Academy!

Dear Parents,

As a publicly funded online charter school, Nevada Virtual Academy (NVVA) makes it easy for you to be an active participant in your child's education. NVVA families receive a complete curriculum, lesson planning programs, books and instructional materials, the use of a computer, subsidized Internet access, and the guidance of a Nevada-licensed teacher—in short, everything you need for an excellent education.

The Nevada Virtual Academy uses the exceptional curriculum from K¹². With this innovative learning program, NVVA provides an education that meets or exceeds state standards, and students demonstrate their knowledge and skills through state standardized tests.

The K¹² learning program allows students in grades K-12 to work at the pace that is right for them. Middle school classes are more synchronous, but still allow for greater flexibility than is typically possible in traditional schools.

NVVA is not only about lessons. Teachers organize school outings to museums, roller- and ice-skating parks, local zoos, and other interesting and enjoyable sites. These events bring families together and create real connections within the NVVA community.

We are proud of the school's achievements and our outstanding parent, community, and faculty support system. NVVA students continue to excel in all areas of academic achievement.

Not only are we proud of our school, but we also believe that it’s a profoundly good choice for families who are interested in getting actively involved in their children's education. We hope to welcome you soon to the Nevada Virtual Academy community.

Best Regards,
Mike Kazek
