Connect to an NVVA Parent

Choose an NVVA Parent and Begin Communicating

While you're exploring our online public school, why not connect with parents who are already in our program?

This is a perfect opportunity to get answers to all your questions from a veteran NVVA parent: from the K¹² curriculum and online lessons to social opportunities and enrollment. You can also find out what a day in their life with K¹² and NVVA is like.

Get started by choosing the parent you'd like to talk to.

  • Jody A. has children in third and fourth grades and has been with K¹² for two years.
NVVA parent: Jody A.
  • City: North Las Vegas
  • Grades children are currently enrolled in: Third and fourth grades
  • Years with K¹²: 2

Jody says: "I'm a mother of two and have homeschooled my kids all their young lives. As we teach and watch them grow, we as parents only want what is best for them, and schooling is a key part. At an early age we knew our kids would be bored in a brick-and-mortar school—even their doctor thought so—so we began to look. We had tried other programs, but they couldn't keep up with our kids' needs and would cost us a lot of money to get add-on classes. Also, we would have to purchase extra school books to give the kids the extra material they craved.

"Then we joined NVVA. Now my kids have wonderful options for learning and excellent homeroom teachers that talk to you and offer help. We also have help from other parents who have had the same problems or issues. My children are not pressured; they go at their own pace. Not like other programs where you have to stay with the program even if the child knows it or it will cost you extra so your child doesn't get bored. My son is in third grade this year, but he is doing third, fourth and fifth grade work. Last year alone he jumped three Math levels, two Science and Art levels, and was promoted early to third grade in the rest of his classes. My daughter is in fourth grade, doing fourth and fifth grade work. She jumped two levels in half the classes and one in the others early, while doing ALP (Advanced Learning) classes. The kids are both in the ALP courses this year, which is like an honor roll class. I know NVVA is the right fit for us."
