How to Enroll

Now that you've completed the MNVA online Intent to Enroll Form, you have the option of completing the remaining enrollment steps for your student now, or you may complete the steps upon receiving formal enrollment acceptance from MNVA. Don't delay and miss your chance to get your student thinking big!

Note: All families will need to complete the additional enrollment steps; however, only steps 1 and 3 of the enrollment process are currently open for grades 9-12 at this time. If you are enrolling a K-8 student you can provide the required forms as indicated in step 2, and continue with enrollment in March 2010.

Completing the additional enrollment steps is a necessary component of the enrollment process and may prevent processing delays of your student's application; however, you are under no obligation to complete the additional steps until you receive notification from MNVA via e-mail.

Step 1. Complete Online Application

Step 2. Submit required forms
After you complete the online enrollment application, please download and submit the required forms included in the Full- and Part-time Enrollment Form packet(s). (Please note that the Minnesota Department of Education Open Enrollment and/or Non-Resident Agreement Forms are included in the Full- and Part-time Enrollment Form packets. It is critical that you complete these document to ensure that your student be approved for enrollment.)

Non-Resident Agreement Forms are required by most, but not all, Minnesota school districts. To see a complete list of school districts that do not require Non-Residential Agreement Forms as a condition of enrollment, please visit us here.

For 9-12 Students:

• Full-time (comprehensive) Enrollment Forms Packet (including the Minnesota Department of Education Open Enrollment and/or Non-Resident Agreement Forms)
• Part-time (supplemental) Enrollment Forms Packet (including the Minnesota Department of Education Open Enrollment and/or Non-Resident Agreement Forms)

Our goal is to have the 2009-2010 enrollment process take no more than two weeks to complete. Please submit these additional required documents within 7-10 days of completing the online application in order to achieve this goal.

For K-8 Students:

Step 3. Approval
Upon receipt and successful review of submitted documents, your student will receive confirmation of their enrollment status. Please note that this includes receipt of all additional enrollment documents, including the Minnesota Department of Education Open Enrollment and/or Non-Resident Agreement Forms. You may review your student’s enrollment status by logging into your online account.
