At these events you'll have the opportunity to visit with school staff and representatives in a face-to-face setting. Hosted throughout the state and available to interested and newly enrolled families, these activities offer an opportunity to learn more about virtual public school options!

    Fairgrounds near W. 3rd St. and N. Grant Avenue, Colby, KS

    Come visit Lawrence Virtual School and learn more about virtual school options in Kansas as we exhibit in the commercial building at the Thomas County Fair in Colby, KS from 7 to 10 p.m.  There is no cost to visit LVS but admission to the fair and the evening carnival varies, visit http://www.thomascountyfair.comhttp://www.thomascountyfair.com for more information.

    Big Brutus
    6 miles west of K7 & K102 Jct. and ¼ mile south, near West Mineral, West Mineral, KS 66782

    K¹² and Lawrence Virtual Schools invite new and current families to join us for an afternoon exploring Big Brutus, an attraction that is home to the largest electric shovel in the world and a tribute to Kansas’ mining history, located near the town of West Mineral in southeast Kansas.
    Check in at the LVS table starts at 3pm; refreshments and a short information session on tuition-free, public virtual education at Lawrence Virtual Schools will be offered at 4pm. Two drawings for schools supply gift baskets will be held: One for any LVS family who brings a guest family (not currently enrolled), and one for guest families!
    Special LVS Rate: Guests 6 years and older are only $2; guests 5 years and younger are FREE. (Please bring cash as we are unable to accept debit or credit cards).
