Who's This For?

Our students are as diverse as the countries they represent. And so are the personal situations that send each family on a journey seeking the highest quality education alternatives. Unlike traditional public schools with their “one size fits all” approach to learning, the K12 International Academy serves students who:

• Are accelerated learners or are bored with the pace of their classroom lessons
• Need more time than the standard classroom allows to master concepts
• Feel they don’t fit in, or are being bullied in their school environment
• Are easily distracted in a classroom setting or have a learning challenge
• Seek extra attention that's not easily found in an overcrowded classroom
• Are homebound or undergoing medical treatments
• Travel frequently or are uprooted throughout the year due to family situations
• Are elite athletes training for competitions or careers
• Are pursuing their dreams and careers in music, the arts, or in sports
• Need to make up particular course credits to stay on track
• Want to take an honors or AP® course, or a unique elective not available at their school
• Seek enrichment opportunities to supplement their full-time traditional schooling

Ultimately, the K12 International Academy is for students willing to make the effort to own their future. We will never judge students’ goals—but we will demand hard work and effort (four to six hours per day) to ensure students reach them. Our program assumes students are willing to put forth their best effort.

The common denominator among parents who choose the K¹² International Academy for their kids is the aspiration to remove barriers that restrict their children from reaching their true potential—whatever those barriers are. These parents are passionately motivated to resist restrictions imposed by a learning environment that is not well suited to their children’s unique needs. These parents understand the power of individualized learning and are willing to get involved.
