Here are some of the people who maintain IDVA's high standards of education.
Head of School
Cody Claver attended Idaho State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a social science major. He also earned a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University in educational leadership. Cody taught in Idaho Falls School District 91 for six years and Clark County School District in Las Vegas for two years. He also served as an administrator in District 91 for nine years. He has been an elementary and middle school principal, as well as an assistant principal at the middle- and high-school levels. Cody is a certified PATHWISE Trainer for Educational Testing Services, focusing on Charlotte Danielson's work with the Framework for Teaching.
Assistant Head of School
Kerri Pickett-Hoffman has been active in many roles in the education field over the past 15 years, most recently serving as the associate director of the Boise State University Center for School Improvement & Policy Studies and the executive director for the Idaho Charter School Network. Kerri has been directly involved in the Idaho charter school movement since shortly after the Idaho Charter School Network was launched in 2001. She has taught grades K-12 in public schools and in higher education settings since 1992, most recently in the Department of Educational Technology at Boise State University where she taught courses to in-service and pre-service teachers and university faculty. Before service at Boise State University, Kerri taught sixth grade, second grade, and ninth grade in the Twin Falls School District.
