How to Enroll
Important Announcement Regarding Hawaii Technology Academy Enrollment
We have reached our student capacity for the 2008-2009 school year. HTA will be reopening enrollment for the 2009-2010 school year in mid February. Enrollment will be limited to students residing on the island of Oahu, Kauai, and the Big Island.
Enrollment spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, based upon grade level. When we reach our enrollment capacity, students will be offered a position on our waitlist.
When enrollment reopens, families will be required to complete the online enrollment process, provide necessary documentation to HTA, and complete their placement assessment either at our Oahu Learning Center or online. Only those students who complete all steps of the enrollment process will be offered a position in the school for the 2009-2010 school year.
Hawaii Technology Academy is a hybrid-model public charter school. Students who participate in HTA are public school students, and must abide by state attendance requirements and state assessment testing. Students residing on the island of Oahu must participate in Learning Center classes one day a week. (Learning Centers will be established to serve students on the neighbor islands in the future.)
The majority of the student’s course work will be completed away from the Learning Center. Students need a responsible adult (Learning Coach) available daily to participate in HTA.
To stay updated on all information regarding the school and be notified when enrollment is available, please provide us with some information about you and your family.
