How to Enroll

Important Announcement Regarding Hawaii Technology Academy Enrollment

Update: We have reached our student capacity for the 2008-2009 school year. Enrollment in HTA for the 2008-2009 school year is limited to students residing on the island of Oahu.

Applications for admission to HTA received after student capacity is reached will be accepted for wait listed admission to the school. Should openings in any grade level become available after capacity is reached, wait list students will be selected by random lottery.

Enrollment Steps

ApplyStep 1. Complete Online Application
New Families: set up a user account

 

Students entering Kindergarten must be 5 by August 1, 2008 to enroll. We will not offer junior kindergarten.

Student must reside on Oahu in order to enroll for the 2008-09 school year. HTA will expand to include students on the neighbor islands in the coming years.

form iconStep 2. Provide required forms

After you have completed the online application, fax or mail the following required documents:

  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of proof of residence
  • Copy of immunization record
  • Guardianship documentation (if child doesn’t live with parents)
  • Additional enrollment documents (download HTA Mail-In Form now)

In order to expedite your student's enrollment, please submit these additional required documents within 7-10 days of completing the online application.

test iconStep 3. Take placement tests (grades 1-9 only)(Placement tests not required for students enrolling after October 1st)
If you are enrolling a student in grades 1-9, please administer the K¹² Math and Language Arts placement tests, which will help us to determine the appropriate courses for your student. Your student may start the placement tests while you are gathering the required forms.

To take the placement tests, log in to your Enrollment Dashboard and click “Begin” in the Tests column next to your student's name. You will receive detailed instructions there.

conference iconStep 4. Placement Conference
After you've completed Steps 1 and 3, a placement specialist will contact you to discuss your student's course level.

After all 4 steps are successfully completed, each student will be marked approved on your enrollment dashboard.
