Community Overview

The K¹²9¹² program facilitates local, national, and international connections between students, students and teachers, and parents—both online and off. We have incorporated a variety of Web 2.0-type applications into the online experience. If you are the student, you can “chat” with a friend on the way to class, join a group discussion in the “hallway,” stop by the office to talk to your guidance counselor, or join an after-school club.

There are also student bulletin boards and competitions, and a variety of other ways for students to get involved, demonstrate leadership, showcase their creativity or hard work, and share ideas and experiences with fellow students. The K¹²9¹² program provides an opportunity to create new friendships and socialize in a vibrant community across all schools offering the K¹²9¹² program.

Students can also join a variety of clubs that meet in person. Each partner school hosts a variety of physical clubs and activities to enable students to meet each other out in the physical world.
