How It Works
Hoosier Academies is a tuition-free public hybrid charter school that uses the K¹² curriculum. Students enjoy face-to-face instruction with a state-certified teacher for more than 50% of their overall weekly instruction. The remainder of the weekly instruction is facilitated off-site with a "Learning Coach." The materials are provided by K¹² and shipped both to the Learning Centers and to parents’ homes, and include books, CDs, and even bags of rocks and dirt.

Who is this intended for?
Hoosier Academies serves students in grades K-12 within the state of Indiana. Students must be able to attend a Hoosier Academies Learning Center in either Indianapolis (grades K-12) or Muncie (grades K-8) for classes on two full days a week.
What about kids with special needs?
Hoosier Academies is dedicated to identifying eligible students who need to receive an appropriate educational program consisting of special education and related services which will meet their identified needs. Find out how our Child Find Program
works to identify and evaluate all children with such needs.
What are the costs?
Because we are part of the public school system, Hoosier Academies is tuition-free. The entire K¹² curriculum as well as a loaner computer, printer, Internet stipend, and access to a state-certified teacher are provided free of charge.
