Hoosier Academies held the 2009-2010 enrollment lottery on Tuesday, May 26. Our Muncie lottery began at 9 am (EST) at the Muncie Learning Center, while the Indianapolis lottery began at 5:30 pm (EST) at the Indianapolis Learning Center. We’d like to thank everyone that was able to attend in-person and virtually.

During the lottery, preference was given to siblings. If a family had multiple children participate in the lottery and only one was selected, the other child(ren) were given preference, as space was available. If we were unable to place them, we added their name(s) to a waitlist with preference. To decrease the probability of unplaced siblings, Hoosier Academies began the lottery at the grade level with the most openings. Once all spaces were filled, we continued to select applicants randomly to determine the waitlist. 

Families will be notified of the lottery results via e-mail. Applicants offered enrollment during the lottery will be required to accept or decline within two weeks of receiving the offer. If a student does not accept the offer by the deadline, it will be rescinded, their application withdrawn, and they will be required to resubmit an enrollment application to re-enroll in Hoosier Academies. Applicants on our wait list will then be offered the opening and will also be required to accept or decline in two weeks.

Families who did not submit an application prior to the deadline, but who still wish to enroll in Hoosier Academies for the 2009-2010 school year, should follow the online enrollment steps listed below. We will add your application to the end of the waiting list and your student’s placement will be determined by the lottery, in the order in which it was received.

Step 1. Complete Online Application

Please note that kindergarten students must be five years old by August 1, 2009, in order to enroll.


Step 2. Provide Required Forms
After you have completed the online application, download and submit the required forms in the Hoosier Academies Enrollment Forms Packet:

Step 3. Approval
Upon receipt and successful review of submitted documents your student will be approved. You may review your student’s enrollment status by logging in to your online account.
