Hoosier Academies
Openings for the 2010-2011 academic year are based on the number of 2009-2010 enrolled students returning to Hoosier Academies compared to the total capacity of students, which is determined by the Office of Charter Schools.
Currently enrolled students are required to re-register for the 2010-2011 school year in order for their spot to be secured. Currently enrolled students who fail to re-register will not have a guaranteed opening for the 2010-2011 academic year. Currently enrolled families will be contacted with the procedure to re-register.
Hoosier Academies will host a six-week open enrollment period beginning in mid-March. During the open enrollment period, all families interested in enrolling in Hoosier Academies for the 2010-2011 academic year must successfully submit an online application and provide all required documentation. If there are more applicants than spaces available in a given grade level, a lottery will be held for that grade level.
Siblings of enrolled students are given preference; however, sibling applicants are required to abide by the same enrollment procedures as new applicants. All sibling enrollment applicants should successfully submit an online application and provide all required documentation during the six-week open enrollment period. In accordance with Indiana Code 20-24-5-5, sibling applications received after the open enrollment deadline will be added to the end of the sibling waiting list, determined by lottery, in the order they were received.
