Dear Parent,
What does your child need?
A more rigorous school schedule? More one-on-one attention? Instruction and interaction with top-notch licensed teachers? And the freedom to learn anytime, anywhere?
Honors High Online of Wisconsin, a public charter of the Northern Ozaukee School District, provides Wisconsin students in ninth through eleventh (and students in twelfth grade in 2009) access to the excellent education and teachers they deserve. And because Honors High Online is a public charter, there is no tuition.*
At Honors High Online, students will connect with other high schoolers and become part of something special—online learning at its best within an accomplished, active community of learners. Students will prepare themselves for the years beyond high school as they excel in courses that were designed by some of the finest minds in the country. Honors High Online is a one-of-a-kind high school program that lets your children learn in the way that's right for them; one that offers great high school courses and gives your kids the freedom to explore their interests and discover what they have in them.
Honors High Online uses curriculum from K¹², which is based on traditional content and proven methods. It comes to our families with high quality learning items such as sourced books, reference manuals, and hands-on materials and reference resources. The program also offers opportunities for students to participate in field trips, museum visits, school-sponsored programs, and social gatherings with our teachers and other members of the Honors High Online family. In this manner, we're building learning communities all around the state.
Students enrolled in Honors High Online receive:
- Course instruction with experienced, licensed teachers
- Complete curriculum from K¹²
- Online course access, books and instructional materials
- Loaner computer system with printer
I believe every family deserves access to an excellent education. Now with Honors High Online of Wisconsin, children from all across the state will have that opportunity. I encourage you to keep your options open by filling out and returning the open enrollment application forms during the specific window this upcoming February.
Sincerely,
Kurt Bergland, Principal
