From Our Head of School
New Name. Same great school!
Effective January 1, 2010, the Georgia Virtual Academy will be known as the Georgia Cyber Academy (GCA)!
Due to the request from the Georgia Department of Education during the charter renewal process, we changed our school’s name in an effort to minimize confusion with other state-run entities.
I would like to assure families who are currently enrolled in the program, as well as families who are considering the program for their child(ren)—and anyone else who is familiar with our school—that the day-to-day operations and policies will remain the same. You can still count on the same great teachers and staff, and the K12 curriculum that thousands of families across Georgia have come to love and look to for their child’s educational needs.
We are excited and committed to providing the same high-quality public education that has been available to families across Georgia since the launch of our school in 2007, and we look forward to building upon the success of the school as we embark on a new chapter in our school’s history.
