How It Works (K-8)
The Florida Virtual Programs are tuition-free online public schools that are extensions of the school districts in which K12 has been contracted to provide online schooling. These programs use the K¹² curriculum, which is accessed via an online school as well as through more traditional methods. Materials are delivered right to the family's doorstep—including books, CDs, and even bags of rocks and dirt.
We also partner parents and students with a state-certified teacher to help guide and track their progress through the curriculum. There are regular, face-to-face meetings as well.
Student-to-student interaction is emphasized too, so students are always well educated and well socialized.

What are the costs?
Because we are part of the public school system, the Florida Virtual Programs are tuition-free. The entire K¹² curriculum, including state-certified teacher support, is provided free of charge.
