Your teacher-supported course will be delivered through the K¹² International Academy. The K¹² International Academy is accredited by The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), and is officially recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia as an accredited institution.

To maintain our accreditation and ensure the safety of students interacting online, we need to receive a few documents from you prior to the course start date.

Signed Copy of the Student/Parent Handbook

Please read the school policies and expectations outlined in the K¹² International Academy student/parent handbook and sign and submit the Required Signature Page which appears at the end of the Handbook.

Proof of Age

Please submit documentation demonstrating proof of age for your student. Students enrolling in courses delivered through the K¹² International Academy must be between 4.5 and 21 years of age by two months prior to their start date. (Any exceptions to this must be approved by the administration prior to enrollment.) Acceptable forms include any of the following (name and date of birth must be legible):

• Birth Certificate (preferred)
• Passport
• Military ID
• DMV issued driver’s license, learner’s permit, or identification card
• Other government issued forms (reviewed on a case-by-case basis)
