When can I access the EmbarK12 Comprehensive program?

You can access the course no sooner than the customer selected start date. Materials purchased as part of the course will be delivered 5 to 7 business days after purchase.

Can my child work at his or her own pace?

Absolutely. The K12 program is designed to meet your unique needs. You and your child move forward at a pace that's right for you.

As a parent, what is my role with EmbarK12 Comprehensive?

EmbarK12 Comprehensive is designed to allow as much or as little oversight as you desire. Your child may progress completely on his or her own or you may choose to monitor the progress. It depends on how comfortable your child is learning independently. Additionally, you will likely facilitate many if not all of the hands-on activities included in the EmbarK12 Comprehensive curriculum.

What if I lose my log-in information?

Refer to your confirmation e-mail which includes your username and password. Otherwise, please call K12 Customer Support at 866.512.2273 and we will be glad to help.

What instructional materials are included in the EmbarK12 Comprehensive curriculum?

EmbarK12 Comprehensive is a program that fully prepares your child for kindergarten. To do so, the EmbarK12 Comprehensive product comes with access to our award-winning online curriculum as well as the opportunity to purchase additional kits to enhance your child's learning experience.

We offer a standard kit of educational materials which includes a set of flashcards for all subjects and a booklet created by K12 called I Am Special.

Additionally, there are two upgrade kits that may be purchased which include books, workbooks, and hands-on learning aids and tools. We have carefully selected these materials to give your child a rich, varied, and unique learning experience.

Am I required to purchase K12 materials for EmbarK12 Comprehensive?

K12 does not require you to purchase any standard, consumable, upgrade, booster, student, or teacher materials. However, in order to fully utilize the EmbarK12 Comprehensive program, we strongly encourage you to purchase the Standard Kit (proprietary K12 materials) and have access to the items included in the Upgrade kits as they are required and used throughout the activities.

How do I know what materials I should be receiving for my order?

Please visit your My Info account at myinfo.K12.com (created during the purchase process) for detailed information about your order.

  • Select the student's name.
  • Click the "Orders" tab to see a list of all material orders.
  • Select the order number that you would like to view.
  • Scroll down to "Course Materials" to view a summary of your order; this includes a list of the materials provided for each course, the kit name/SKU number, the order status, tracking information, etc.
  • Click the "arrow" to see the items provided in each course kit.

Note: K12 Customer Support is only able to replace materials for a program currently assigned to the student.

What if I do not receive all of the materials or they are damaged?

Please call K12 at 888.202.2399 to indicate which items you did not receive or were damaged during the shipping process. You will be sent new materials for missing or damaged items. Items that have been opened or used will not be replaced by K12

What other pre-K products does K12 have available for purchase?

K12 is developing a number of supplemental products to help parents of pre-K learners focus on common areas that challenge children. These programs will require much less time commitment from parents and are flexible solutions that may be done on weekends, during the summer, or on vacation breaks. They will be offered as truly supplemental products to wherever the child is enrolled for his or her full-time schooling.

What credit cards do you accept?

K12 accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

Can I place an international order?

Yes. You can place an international order by calling K12 Sales at 888.202.2399. A representative will determine shipping charges for international orders at the time of your order. The shipping timeframe for international orders will vary according to the carrier service you select. Please note that Army Post Office (APO) addresses can only be shipped via United States Postal Service (USPS) and no tracking information will be provided.

Can I return or exchange this product?

Yes. You can exchange one course for another and purchase the associated course materials at any time by calling K12 Sales at 888.202.2399. All course exchanges are processed immediately. Please allow 24 hours for the course exchange to take effect.

For Independent Courses, if you are not satisfied with the product, you may return it within 30 days by calling 888.202.2399.

Can I return my materials?

You may return your unused materials in their original, new condition up to 30 days after the materials shipment date or the associated course activation date, whichever is later, for a refund (shipping charges and stocking fee excluded). Refunds are not given for return of partial kits.

If you would like to return your materials:

  • Call K12 Sales at 888.202.2399 to notify us of your intent to return materials. We regret that we cannot issue a refund if you do not notify us before returning your materials. K12 will issue you a Services Request number. Include this number in all correspondence regarding your return.
  • If eligible for a refund, return all materials to the following address using a traceable method (such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS):

When will I receive my materials?

Materials will be shipped immediately after you place your order, regardless of plan activation date, unless the items are on backorder. Materials should arrive at the designated domestic shipping address within approximately two to three weeks.

The shipping timeframe for international orders will vary depending on the carrier service selected for the order.

Please note that APO addresses can only be shipped via USPS and no tracking information will be provided.

Can I resell my materials?

No. You may not reproduce or distribute any materials or transfer or sell any materials to any third party.

What if I still have a question about my materials?

Call K12 Customer Support at 888.202.2399 or visit myinfo.K12.com and log in using the account you created at the time the product was purchased.

After purchasing the K12 product, how do I obtain the activities, with or without the materials?

If you have already established a K12 account, you will use the username and password you created during the account setup process during your purchase of the product. If you haven't already established a K12 account (through placement tests or our online ordering system), K12 will e-mail your registration and login information within two days prior to your plan activation date. At that time, you can begin to set up your schedule and explore the lessons.

For Independent Courses, you will be able to access EmbarK12 Comprehensive through the information provided in your confirmation e-mail.

What if my 1-year EmbarK12 Comprehensive subscription is up, but my child would like to continue using it?

Simply renew your EmbarK12 Comprehensive subscription for another year by calling K12 Sales at 888.202.2399.

What is your refund policy?

You may cancel your EmbarK12 Comprehensive subscription within 30 days of the activation date for a refund.

You may return your unused and unopened materials in their original condition a) within 30 days of the materials shipment date, or b) within 30 days after the associated course activation date for a refund, whichever is later. Shipping charges and restocking fee excluded. You must call K12 Sales to notify K12 of your intent to return the materials and ship the materials via a traceable method to be eligible for a refund. Refunds will be processed within 30 days of the receipt at our warehouse. Refunds will not be given for partial kits.
