Gifted & Talented
Differentiated Instruction for G&T Students
K¹² offers high-quality, cost-effective, proven programs for both gifted and talented and double-gifted children in grades K-12. A flexible curriculum allows students to advance rapidly in stronger subjects, while progressing at a steady pace in others.
While most of our curriculum enables advanced students to move at an accelerated pace and provides them with additional activities to stimulate their minds, K¹² also offers several courses in K-8 and high school specifically built for gifted & talented students. These courses include advanced middle school science courses and more than 25 AP and Honors courses.
Advanced Middle School Science Courses
These are rigorous courses, conceived for enthusiastic science students who are ready for an extra challenge. Practical, hands-on lesson activities help students discover how scientists investigate the living world. Students perform laboratory activities and a full unit investigation to learn about the application of scientific methods.

In-classroom and Virtual G&T Programs
For example, in a Halifax, Virginia classroom setting,
differentiated Math instruction for G&T students helped students realize their true potential.
In a virtual setting, the Colorado Virtual Academy’s GATE (Gifted & Talented) program
found that the K12 curriculum allowed educators to create individualized learning programs for each of their gifted students.
