How to Enroll

Enrollment for students in grades K-11 for the 2010-2011 school year is now open!

Enrollment is limited to just 599 students for the upcoming school year. If the number of applications received by 11:59 pm (CST) on April 16, 2010 exceeds the total number of available slots by grade and/or the entire school, we will conduct a lottery on April 19, 2010 to determine final enrollment for the 2010-2011 school year.

To be eligible for the lottery, you only need to complete step 1 below. However, families may begin step 2 with the understanding that completion of this step has no implication on whether they will be selected in a lottery.

Families awarded a seat offer will have three weeks to become fully compliant and approved. Every student/family who submits an application during the open enrollment period will be notified upon completion of the lottery with next steps and if they are offered a seat or being placed on a waitlist.

 Step 1. Complete Online Application

New Families: set up a user account.

Have you already set up an account? Continue your enrollment or check your student’s enrollment status.

Please note that your student must reside within the Chicago City limits and be five years old by September 1, 2010, in order to enroll.

 Step 2. Provide Required Forms
After you complete the online application, download and bring completed original copies of the required forms in the CVCS Enrollment Forms Packet to the Learning Center.

 Step 3. Admissions Conference
Once you submit your application, you will be assigned a Personal Admissions Liaison (PAL) who will assist you through the enrollment process, answer all of your questions, and conduct your admissions conference over the phone. During this conference, your PAL will verify your student’s information, relay school policies, and review the responsibilities of both the student and the Learning Coach.

 Step 4. Approval
Provided a seat offer is granted to you, and upon receipt and successful review of submitted documents, your student will be approved. You may review your student’s enrollment status by logging in to your online account.
