CVCS Meets AYP Goals
What is AYP?
AYP, or Adequate Yearly Progress, is a key measurement of a school’s progress based on standards developed through 2001’s No Child Left Behind (NCLB) education reform act. In Illinois, AYP is measured by performance on the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT), along with the percentage of students who participate in these state standardized tests, attendance, and academic performance.
How does this affect CVCS?
Under NCLB, schools that do not make AYP across multiple years could face a variety of actions, up to and including restructuring or closure. CVCS is proud to have met AYP for the 2008-2009 school year and looks forward to continued success in the coming years.
We’re proud of our school’s performance. We firmly believe our continued success is a testament to the quality of our teaching staff, the strength of our school’s culture and community, and the superior design and deliverability of the K¹² curriculum. We look forward to continued success in the coming years, and hope that more families will continue to make CVCS the preferred method of education for their children.

What CVCS Parents Say
"I love CVCS for many reasons! Our teachers are so helpful and supportive! They really understand that every child is unique. I am so thankful that my family has had the opportunity to do cyberschooling at home. It has been such a blessing for us!" -- Parent of two children enrolled in CVCS
—kindergarten and grade 4
"I have really enjoyed my CVCS experience! I like that we can be flexible with our schedule when need be. The K¹² curriculum is wonderful, especially the fact that there is constant reinforcement of main points throughout each lesson. I can see both of my children growing and actually enjoying learning. Thank you for making this such an excellent option for us!" -- Parent of two children enrolled in CVCS —grades 2 and 3
“My son became frustrated and angry with the school system beginning in first grade. He was bullied by many children and criticized and discouraged from further study by staff. But I feel that we are in the right place now with CVCS. My son’s body language and facial expressions are completely different from those of the past 2 months, and he is more confident, spontaneous, excited, and funny. He gave me the longest hug at bedtime last night and said ‘thank you.’” -- Parent of a CVCS student —grade 2
