Physical Science Foundations
Course Description
Students explore the relationship between matter and energy. During the course of this exploration, students investigate force and motion, the structure of atoms, the structure and properties of matter, chemical reactions, and the interactions of energy and matter. They develop skill in measuring, solving problems, using laboratory apparatuses, following safety procedures, and adhering to experimental procedures. Inquiry-based learning is the driving force of this course, with hands-on laboratory investigations making up approximately 50 percent of the learning experience.
