Physical Science
Course Description
Through exploratory investigations and activities, students learn about concepts of matter, energy, and forces, and their applications. In their investigations, they incorporate the use of measurement, problem solving, laboratory apparatuses, safety procedures, and experimental procedures. Students analyze the unifying concepts and processes of science; the structure of atoms; the structure and properties of matter; chemical reactions; entropy and the conservation of energy; the interactions of energy and matter; motions and forces; and interactions among science, technology, and society.
