World Literature and Language

Course Description

Students study British literature and a selection of works from around the world, including novels, poetry, short stories, dramas, and essays, to refine their skills of analysis and interpretation. Special emphasis is placed on understanding and expanding vocabulary; grasping point of view; understanding an author’s cultural heritage; examining themes, both local and universal; and analyzing styles of writing. In some activities, students focus on real-world problem solving and writing for the workplace.
