American Literature and Language
Course Description
This introduction to American literature emphasizes the power and potential of language. Students analyze novels, short stories, poetry, essays, and editorials to gain an understanding of purpose, point of view, theme, and style. Students refine vocabulary and composition skills for academic, workplace, technical, and interpersonal communication.
