High School Fine Art and Art Appreciation
Course Description
This course offers a comprehensive and practical view of the history and development of art. Students survey fine art beginning approximately 17,000 years ago and continue their analysis up through the present day. They focus not only on major periods of art history and culturally important masterpieces, but also on the various intellectual and technical processes that went into the creation of those masterpieces of fine art.
