For this adventure we will tour The Art Institute of Chicago. We will explore the relationship between music and art. Music is auditory, existing in time, but art is visual, existing in space. The process of examining music and art together can highlight the distinctive elements of each form. Journey with us to The Art Institute of Chicago to explore this relationship.

    International Spy Museum

    Join us as we celebrate Discovery Day at International Spy Museum for a private show of The Magic of Spying and a formal information session. For newly enrolled families, this is a great opportunity to meet other familes at CAPCS Online. For interested families, you'll be able to meet CAPCS Online staff for a brief overview of our program, meet other CAPCS Online families, and ask any questions about enrolling in our school.

    Cost

    *Students will be free of admission to The Magic of Spying show at 12:30pm.  Please register in advance to secure your seat due to capacity restrictions.  If families want to explore the International Spy museum they are responsible for general admission fee although mention CAPCS Online on June 9th to receive a $2 discount.  cool

For this adventure we will enjoy a Reader’s Theater experience. Come listen to Amanda Bynes read “The Night I Followed the Dog” by Nina Laden. This adventure story will bring a smile and laugh to your face. It may also answer the question, what do our pets really do when we are sleeping? Time will also be given for students to share information about their favorite pet!

For this adventure we will go to the zoo! The National Zoo is home to 2,000 individual animals of nearly 400 different species. We will take a virtual tour of some of the most well-known zoos in the United States! Watch a Fishing cat hunt for dinner, take a peek into the Amazon, and watch monkeys play in the trees. We hope to see you on this wild zoo adventure!

    Is it raining, too hot, too cold or just too far? Then virtual field trips are perfect for you! Join us on these exciting trips and adventures as we explore and have fun. For this adventure we will visit inside the Whitehouse. The White House isn’t simply a home to First Families or meeting for world leaders, it’s also known as ‘The People’s House,’ a place that should be open to everyone. We will take a tour of how the United Kingdom State dinner was made, The Kitchen Garden, and answer the question on why presidents use so many pens to sign legislative documents.
