A Complete High School Program at the Mesa Y

Families in Phoenix's East Valley now have a complete, tuition-free alternative to their traditional high school—one that's flexible, individualized, and taught at a centralized location entrusted by their community: K¹² High at the Mesa Y.
Expanding on the “blended” learning model offered by K¹² at the Y i-Learn Centers—which have been created through a partnership between Arizona Virtual Academy and Valley of the Sun Y—this innovative new program for grades 9–12 combines award-winning online curriculum with full-time instruction and support from Arizona-certified teachers.
The program at Mesa not only lets high school students learn in the ways that are right for them, it also gives them the skills, knowledge, and technology know-how they need to succeed in a 21st-century world.
The Best of Online Learning Meets the Best of Face-to-Face Instruction
Each high school student enrolled in this exciting program has access to:
- Proven, engaging online curriculum from K¹², America's leader in K–12 online education
- Dedicated computer stations and hands-on materials, from textbooks to microscopes
- An Individualized Learning Plan, created to address his or her specific needs, talents, and goals
- One-to-one and small group instruction from onsite teachers who are specialists in their subjects
- More than 150 online courses: core subjects with multiple academic levels from remediation to AP, plus world languages and a wide variety of career-building electives
- A complimentary YMCA membership for students who enroll full time, so that they may participate in the center's health and fitness programs, aquatics, sports, and more
