Current ARVA Board Members

Jerry C. Jones, Chair, serves as Acxiom Corporation's Business Development and Legal Leader. He is responsible for the legal team, leads the strategy and execution of mergers and alliances, and assists in other strategic initiatives. Mr. Jones came to Acxiom in March 1999 from the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock, Arkansas, where for 19 years he specialized in problem solving and business litigation. He is a 1980 graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law and holds a bachelor's degree in public administration from the University of Arkansas.

Susan Beth Allerheiligen is a Family Manager and primary teacher for two ARVA students. Additionally, she is an Educational Coordinator for a K¹² iCademy high school freshman. She holds a Master of Educational Psychology degree from the University of Arizona and a double Bachelor of Psychology and Secondary Education from the University of Colorado. Susan holds a Teaching Certificate for Secondary Education (Social Studies) from the State of Colorado.
 
She has also held the positions of advisor for gifted education for the Chesapeake, VA Public Schools; children's church coordinator for the Ramstein Air Base Chaplain Service; and We Help Ourselves (WHO) educator for three county areas in Oklahoma.

Angela Driskill, MD, is a wound care specialist at Baptist Health Wound and Hyperbaric Center in North Little Rock, and is the Learning Coach for two ARVA students.   She completed a BBA in Management at Harding University in 1996 and then taught English in Florence, Italy.  She received her MD from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1994, and then completed a residency in Family Medicine at the Area Health Education Center in Pine Bluff, AR where she served as Co-chief Resident from 1996 -1997.  Dr. Driskill has worked in various positions in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine and Wound Care while juggling her roles as mother, learning coach, and physician. In 2008 she was named one of America’s Top Doctors in Family Medicine/Wound Care.

Dr. Driskill was an active member of the Arkansas Army National Guard for 10 years and served as a Company Commander for the 39th Infantry Brigade Support Battalion from 1998 -2000.  She has served on the board of Amigos De Los Ninos, an organization that promotes education and medical care for impoverished children in Mexico.  Currently Dr. Driskill is the vice president of the Arkansas Coalition of Distant Learning Families.

John Riggs, IV is president of J. A. Riggs Tractor Company, an industrial and construction equipment distribution company serving customers in and around Arkansas. He is the fourth generation of the Riggs family to be a leader in this business. Prior to being named President in 1995, Mr. Riggs held various positions within the company in sales, rental, marketing, and used equipment. He has been employed by the company since 1982.

Mr. Riggs is active in civic and community affairs in Arkansas and the greater Little Rock area. In January 1999 and December 2002, he served terms as a State Senator, representing District 16. He served on the Education Committee, as well as several other committees. In addition to his elected post, he has served on the boards of Volunteers in Public Schools, the Pulaski County United Way, Arkansas Business and Education Alliance, and the Philander Smith College. Mr. Riggs was elected to and served on the Little Rock School District Board of Education from 1992-1999. He is a past member of the Greater Little Rock Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Mr. Riggs was born in Columbus, Georgia. He attended Little Rock area schools and graduated with a BA from Southern Methodist University.

Lepaine Sharp-McHenry has been a registered nurse since 1981. She completed an Associate of Science in Nursing at Southern Arkansas University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Arkansas, and a Master of Science with a major in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma. She completed her studies as a clinical nurse specialist in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. She has worked in various clinical and management positions in Long Term Care, Medical/Surgical, and Psychiatric Mental Health Settings. Her responsibility has involved financial, personnel, material and clinical management in each of these settings. She has developed and presented educational training programs for managers, nurses, and allied health professionals, and has served as an expert panel member in the development of clinical practice guidelines for residents who reside in long-term care facilities. She has also conducted research and published in the long-term care field. Ms. McHenry is recognized as an expert in clinical management and nursing administration of long-term care services.

Ms. McHenry is a licensed nursing home administrator in Arkansas, president of the Arkansas Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care Association, nursing consultant, and former vice president of the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care. Ms. McHenry was recognized as one of Fayetteville's Top Five Young Professionals in 1999, and as Outstanding Young Arkansan in 1999. She served as a full-time faculty member at the University of Arkansas Eleanor Mann School of Nursing for 11 years and currently is an adjunct faculty member for Regis University Graduate Nursing Program. Ms. McHenry represented her congressional district at the 2004 African American Leadership Summit. She served two terms as President of the Board of Directors for the Community Clinic at St. Francis House in Springdale, AR, and is currently Vice President of Membership for the Junior League of Northwest AR. She has served four appointments by the Governor of Arkansas (Long Term Care Advisory Board, Minority Health Commission, Arkansas State Board of Nursing, served VP and President) and is currently serving on the Governor's Roundtable on Healthcare. Ms. McHenry also chaired the Transition to Practice Committee for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing and served as the Vice President of that organization.

Ms. McHenry is an enthusiastic resident advocate and has actively supported initiatives to ensure quality care for residents who reside in long-term care facilities. She has also promoted a positive and professional image of long-term care nursing among her colleagues and gained the respect of industry leaders across the country.
