Letter from our Head of School

Welcome to Agora Cyber Charter School!

Dear Pennsylvania Family,

Welcome to the Agora Cyber Charter School. In ancient Greece, the agora was the heart of the community and the gathering place for its citizens. It was also where the education giants of the day—Socrates, Euclid, Plato, and others—would gather to teach and inspire their students.

We are thrilled to welcome you into our "agora." The Agora Cyber Charter School is committed to inspiring and preparing your child to achieve the highest levels of academic achievement through the innovative, challenging and research-based K¹² curriculum. We are proud to be a part of the community of virtual public schools that use the K¹² program, including curriculum, well-trained state-certified teachers, time-tested administrative procedures, and best practices—all of which foster an optimized learning environment for our students.

Agora embraces a collaborative partnership between teachers and parents, empowering students to emerge as leaders in the digital age. Agora families find that through commitment, hard work, and communication with Agora teachers and staff, every student will rise to his or her natural potential. We have a highly collaborative and engaged community of parents, students, teachers, administrators and staff—all of whom are committed to meeting the academic needs of each student. We are very proud of our Agora community.

Of course, the Agora Cyber Charter School is not only about lessons. Teachers and parents organize academic and social school gatherings to museums, roller- and ice-skating parks, local zoos, and other interesting and enjoyable sites. Agora also offers online gatherings in the form of synchronous instruction, clubs, competitions, and service project opportunities. These events bring students and families together to create real connections within our 21st century "gathering place."

We believe our school is a profoundly good choice for families who are interested in getting actively involved in their children's education. If you have any questions, our team would be happy to answer them for you.
