Title I
Agora Cyber Charter School provides Title I supplemental support as a school wide program. The emphasis of the program is on serving all students, improving all structures that support student learning, and combining all resources, as allowed, to achieve a common goal. Our mission is that all students will achieve academic excellence and reach extraordinary heights!
Compact for Title I
The 2011-2012 Compact for Title I is an agreement of what is expected of all involved in this school-wide program: you as parent, us as the school, and your child. According to the Pennsylvania Department of Education:
Each school receiving funds under Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) must develop a written school-parent compact jointly with parents for all children participating in Title I, Part A activities, services, and programs. That compact is part of the school's written parental involvement policy developed by the school and parents under section 1118(b) of the ESEA. The compact must outline how parents, the entire school staff, and students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement and the means by which the school and parents will build and develop a partnership to help children achieve the State's high standards.
Right to Know
Under NCLB, parents have the right to request professional qualifications of their children's
teacher(s) or paraprofessional(s). The attached letter was sent to Agora families to inform them of their right to ask for additional information about their children's classroom teachers and/or paraprofessionals.
